Mrs McKeown’s update Tuesday 7th July

7 July 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne))

Almost at the end of this very strange school year and i hope one not to be repeated. For those of you who have looked at the new guidance document for September it looks very promising to whole school opening - with a few requirements. I will let you know by the end of the week how it will look in September at Longsands. I need to run plans past the staff and Governors but you will know by Friday . Let's hope the recent reclosure of some pubs after Covid outbreaks will not affect schools reopening in September .

Year 6 are back tomorrow! Remember it is 9.15-2.45 . You will enter school through the staff carpark, stand on the waiting spots and then parents will leave through the front gate. At home time, again enter through the staff carpark and leave through the front gate. Year 6 will be expected to wash/handgel their hands on entry and as they leave school. Please do not send into school any large bags or pencil cases. I know Year 1 had lots of fun when they came in so I am sure Year 6 will also have fun!!
