PE will continue to be on Mondays and Wednesdays this half-term, so the children will need to have their kit in school on these days. Please make sure that all kits brought into school are labelled. If for any reason your child is unable to take part in PE, please can you send in a letter or email, otherwise they will be expected to take part fully in the lesson. This half-term we are doing Rounders and Football. Trainers are needed. Depending on the weather, children may also need a warm top. For Health and Safety reasons please also make sure hair bands are available so that long hair can be tied back and that earrings are taken out or send in plasters for children with piercings less than 6 weeks old.
Homework and Spellings
Maths and English homework will be set on Friday to be returned on Wednesday. Maths will continue to be set using My Maths. If for any reason you are unable to provide access to My Maths please let me know and I will create a printed version for your child. Worksheets will be provided for English homework. Spellings will be set on Friday and tested the following Friday. Spelling books are taken home for children to practise but need to come back into school daily for spelling work in class.
This Week's Spellings (To be tested on Friday after half-term)
Please continue to encourage your child to read at home as often as possible. All children now have reading books to take home. Children may bring in books from home or choose them from school. Please to try to make sure your child has their reading book in school daily. The Reading journals have a section you can sign for the Reading Challenge. They can change their books once they bring their signed sheet in to me.
