This page is your window into everything happening in our classroom. Here you will find updates about what we are learning, important notices, homework information, and examples of the fantastic work our pupils create throughout the year.
In Year 4, we aim to build confidence, curiosity, and independence in all our learners. Our classroom is a place where children are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment. Throughout the year, pupils will develop their skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and many other exciting subjects. We will also take part in creative activities, projects, and opportunities that help children grow both academically and personally.
Supporting learning at home is very important in Year 4. We encourage children to read every night at home, as regular reading helps develop fluency, vocabulary, and understanding. Please ensure reading records are kept up to date so we can celebrate children’s progress together. Home to school contact is Seesaw.
Times table practice is also a key focus this year. Children should regularly practise their multiplication facts using TT Rockstars, which helps build speed and confidence ready for the Year 4 Multiplication Check.
Maths homework will be set using MyMaths, where children can practise the skills we are learning in class. Completing these tasks regularly helps reinforce learning and build confidence.
