Attendance at Longsands

At Longsands, we understand that regular attendance and punctuality is one of the biggest factors in determining academic and personal success.

We regularly monitor attendance and punctuality and work closely with parents to identify potential barriers which might affect this. We employ an 'early intervention' approach to attendance, identifying pupils at the earliest stage of declining attendance and punctuality. We work closely with Lancashire County Council Attendance Officers to support good attendance.

Children arriving after registers close without sufficient reason, will be marked as an authorised absence for that session.
