Mrs McKeown's Update Wednesday 9th September

9 September 2020 (by Martin Coyne (m.coyne))

Morning
Thank you for your support so far with the staggered times, remembering PE days and only sending into school the minimum needed including drinks bottles.
Most of you will know by now we have a drop box in the school porch where you can drop off paperwork  etc . We regularly check the  box and we do have a camera in the porch so we can see anyone leave something. You do not need to ring the new intercom if just dropping something off.
Can I politely ask that when you have dropped your child off at the staggered time  could you make way for the next set of parents so they can see their child safely into school. Also remembering to keep your distance from each other . It is important you only arrive at school just  before doors are open to avoid any congestion. The positive out of this is there is now more room on the carpark!!
Homework will now be mostly through Seesaw and if your child is off awaiting results from a Coovid test the teachers will put on work for them to complete at home from day one.
Can I ask you to  read the document I text through to you all yesterday . It is the latest information from our Government.
The Longsands Link will be starting again  this week and next week we will be begin our Pupil of the week rewards. Obviously the presentation will have to be different  this time and we will let you know how it is going to be .
